Julie Whitefield - Admin manager
Julie is our Administration ‘Wiz’ and she ensures files, paperwork and accounts are provided in the appropriate format. She has extensive knowledge of the Cumbrian Commercial Scene after working in the media sector at Cumbrian Newspapers for 31 years since leaving school!
As well as keeping the team in line with paperwork, Julie also leads on our fabulous wedding shows and on our internal CN awards. She is First Aid and Fire Warden trained.
Outside of work she loves baking, the theatre, and running around after her teenage kids! She has also helped with lots of community groups and events including football teams and the local Rainbows!
Mandy Norwood - Event Manager
Mandy looks after the theming and decor for events, and creates something new and innovative for each client we work with. She has over 25 years of Commercial Magazines and Newspaper experience and is IOSH and First Aid qualified.
A native Cumbrian, Mandy’s enthusiasm and passion for all things Cumbria is a great asset when working on local events such as Taste Cumbria and Cumbria Life Food & Drink awards. Her wealth of local knowledge and contacts comes in very useful when – ‘ Looking for or knowing a man that can’
She is an active member of the Cumberland agricultural society and enjoys supporting her two teenagers with their Young Farmers activities. Mandy leads on many of our events but at her happiest when putting her creative skills and eye for details into action while dressing and creatively decorating our varied venues.
Anna Lyttle - Event Manager
Anna is our outdoor events specialist and leads in delivering a wide variety of larger scale events from music festivals to christmas markets. Event logistics and technical production are her main focus but she is is also responsible for booking bands for our various events and also books and manages our comedy gigs. She has a number of years experience in the music and entertainment industry and has been involved with events and festivals for over 15 years.
She is IOSH and First Aid qualified, has an FDA in Performance, Festivals and Event Management and an HND in Music Industry Management.
Anna’s main interests outside work are music and music festivals. She is also a huge fan of live comedy and has been involved with the comedy industry for several years.
Marie Whitehead – Event Director
Marie heads up the event department and has worked in Cumbria since graduating from the University of Manchester in 1993! She is NEBOSH, IOSH and First Aid qualified, and has an MBA which specialised in Change Management.
Marie has worked in Events, in many industries, for over 20 years, This means that for all events, she has a clear understanding of the needs of the client as well as the experience to put on a great event.
In the last 2 years, Marie has directed over 50 events for 16 different clients including Project Directing Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Carlisle, Taste Cumbria Food Festival, and Carlisle Fireshow – one of the UK’s top ten fireshows!
Outside work, Marie loves cycling, skiing and also coaches at the local swimming club!
